I’ve learned the hard way that it is OKAY to put yourself first.

Surround yourself with people who make you feel happy and valued. Skip the ones who only text you when they need something and completely block the ones out of your life who wish you nothing but the worst. The jealous ones, the negative ones who think the world owes them everything and recently I’ve been experiencing the frenemies who are always watching your social media but never likes a post. Sies man!

I know it’s easier said than done. I’m also struggling with cutting people completely out especially if I have a history with them, but you only have one life and who wants to be the supporting actress in their own movie?

Ignore the ‘friends’ who don’t get happy or excited when good things happen to you and spend more time with the ones who are always there for you, no matter what.

Jeanne, Nicola, Roelien, Annemi, Clarise, Carli, Nicolette, Deneal, Zazu…. and mom (duh!) Thank you for loving me just the way I am. Without you guys, everything would’ve been pointless.
